LipoDissolve
LipoDissolve has been around for at least 3 decades and, is widely
used in Europe. It basically involves a series of miniscule injections
of two naturally occurring chemicals — phosphatidylcholine
and deoxycholate — which serve to dissolve localized areas
of fat deposits. LipoDissolve is ideal for getting rid of those
smaller areas of fat in your neck, arms, belly and legs.
We can treat 2 to 3 large areas during any particular session.
You will feel some mild swelling and tenderness. After the procedure,
you may notice mild bruising, swelling, tenderness or a burning
sensation in the areas of injection. This mild soreness and bruising
is temporary and usually dissipates in 4 to 7 days. During this
time, the LipoDissolve chemicals are physically breaking down the
fat, then the body’s own "scavenging cells" clean that
up. This scavenging process usually takes a few weeks from the time
of injection.
The fat removal associated with LipoDissolve is permanent, and
the surrounding areas will become flat and compact. We can also
use LipoDissolve to correct any unevenness that may have resulted
from previous liposuction or lipoplasty procedures.
Recovery time is fast... most of our patients are back to their
normal activities in 1 to 2 days.
